The Board of Directors for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Guelph is pleased to announce that Michael Treadgold has been appointed as the organization’s new Executive Director, effective immediately.
Treadgold has been with the organization for the past five years in various roles, most recently as the Manager of Development & Communications. He has been instrumental in growing the organization’s profile in Guelph, while expanding its resource development initiatives.
“The Board of Directors is extremely excited to have Michael Treadgold as our next Executive Director. His commitment to this city and to the agency over the past five years has been remarkable,” said Board President Matt Nelson, who facilitated the hiring process. “He brings a wealth of knowledge, education and leadership that is vital when leading an organization such as ours. I am confident that he will take Big Brothers Big Sisters of Guelph to new heights going forward.”
Treadgold is excited to take on this leadership role within the organization, and recognizes the responsibility that comes with such a position.
“As Guelph’s largest youth mentoring organization, Big Brothers Big Sisters is integral to improving the lives of our community’s next generation of leaders,” Treadgold said. “I am so thankful to be taking on take on the role of Executive Director and share my passion for youth development with the staff, board, volunteers, families and supporters of our charity.”
