As part of the Little Change for Big Change campaign, BBBSG held a Virtual Paint Night fundraising event, presented by the Rotary Club of Guelph and hosted by Ben McCarl. This campaign strives to raise awareness about BBBSG in the community. The aim is to collect “Little Change” (small donations) from local community members that will help fund “Big Change” allowing our mentorship programs to continue to thrive. The Paint Night event raised $1,760 in support of our One-to-One Match Mentoring program.

ABOUT BEN

Ben’s love is creating stone sculptures, but also supports community art projects in many mediums such as inviting the public to participate creating the Paper Bag Princess sculpture at the Guelph Public Library. Whether being the guest artist at Hospice Art Therapy, leading participants through Zoom Paint Nights to help cope with covid isolation, or building displays for Rotary’s Sparkles in the Park, Ben always feels he gets more from artistic sharing than he gives.

ABOUT ROTARY

The Rotary Foundation is the charitable arm of Rotary International. It is an endowment fund that manages donations and funding for global projects like polio eradication, promoting peace, providing clean water and sanitation, improving the environment, etc.
