It’s that time of year again! The ‘Little Change for BIG Change’ (LCBC) campaign runs in the summer and we’re so excited for another amazing year! Our ‘Little Change for BIG Change’ Campaign strives to raise awareness about BBBSG in the community and the need for ‘Bigs’ to volunteer with our mentorship programs. This campaign strives to collect little change from local community members that will help fund BIG change allowing our mentorship programs to continue to thrive!

1. GIVE FOR MENTORSHIP:

Every Small Gift Creates a BIG Impact.

Making a difference has never been easier. Through Give for Mentorship, local businesses and community members come together to support mentoring programs for children and youth across Guelph.

Whether it’s donating spare change, rounding up a purchase, or volunteering at one of our community fundraising events, every contribution helps connect young people with life-changing mentors. Funds raised through Give for Mentorship directly support Big Brothers Big Sisters of Guelph’s mentoring programs, helping local youth build confidence, resilience, and brighter futures.

🏷️ TAG Days

Volunteer with us at participating retail locations throughout Guelph as we collect donations and raise awareness for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Guelph. It’s a fun and meaningful way to make a difference while engaging with our community.

🛒 Point-of-Sale (POS) Campaigns

Partner with us by inviting customers to make a donation or round up their purchase at checkout. It’s a simple way for businesses to support local youth while giving customers the opportunity to make an immediate impact.

📦 Donation Boxes

Place a BBBSG donation box at your business and help collect spare change year-round. Every coin adds up to create life-changing mentoring opportunities for children waiting to be matched with a mentor.

2. GATHER FOR MENTORSHIP:

Bringing Our Community Together to Create BIG Change

Great food, local businesses, and community events have the power to make a lasting impact. Gather for Mentorship brings people together through unique fundraising events hosted by local businesses and community partners, with a portion of proceeds supporting Big Brothers Big Sisters of Guelph.

Whether you’re grabbing dinner with friends, getting your car washed, or attending a special fundraising event, every purchase helps connect local children and youth with life-changing mentoring relationships.

Together, we can gather for a great cause and help reduce the waitlist for young people looking for a mentor.

🍽️ Dine & Donate

Enjoy a meal while making a difference! Participating restaurants donate a portion of sales from a designated day or time back to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Guelph. Invite your friends, family, or coworkers and enjoy a great meal that gives back.

🎉 Community Give-Back Events

Have another fundraising idea? We love partnering with local businesses and organizations to create unique events that support mentoring.

Examples include:

• Shopping nights
• Brewery or winery fundraisers
• Charity classes or workshops
• Trivia nights
• Family fun days
• Seasonal promotions

3. Move for Mentorship

Get Active. Give Back. Change a Life.

Move for Mentorship brings together local fitness, wellness, and recreation businesses to make a lasting impact on children and youth in our community.

Whether it’s a yoga class, spin session, martial arts lesson, gym challenge, or wellness workshop, participating partners donate a portion of proceeds from a designated class, event, or promotion to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Guelph. Every workout, every class, and every participant helps provide life-changing mentoring opportunities for local youth.

By moving together, we’re helping more children find the mentors they deserve.

Host a special class where a portion of registration fees supports Big Brothers Big Sisters of Guelph.

Examples include:

• HIIT
• Strength Training
• Boot Camps
• Dance Fitness

🥋 Recreation & Sports

Partner with us through your sports or recreation program by donating proceeds from a class, clinic, tournament, or special event.

🏃 Move for Mentorship

Play for a Bigger Purpose with Real Pickleball Guelph

During this special campaign, $2 from every Guest Court Rental will be donated to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Guelph to help support mentoring programs for local youth.

State & Main Kitchen + Bar Guelph

 June 15, 2026

Thank you to State & Main Kitchen + Bar Guelph for partnering with us for a one-day Dine & Donate fundraiser! Community members enjoyed a great meal while giving back, with 10% of eligible proceeds supporting Big Brothers Big Sisters of Guelph.

With more than 100 children and youth waiting for a mentor, partnerships like this help us create life-changing mentoring relationships right here in our community.

Valet Car Wash (Woodlawn Road)

June 20, 2026

Valet Car Wash hosted a one-day fundraising event in support of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Guelph called “Wash Away the Waitlist”

Thanks to the generosity of Valet Car Wash and everyone who participated, the event raised $360 to help recruit more volunteer mentors for local children and youth.

Every dollar raised brings us one step closer to connecting more young people with the caring mentors they deserve.
