At Big Brothers Big Sisters of Guelph (BBBSG) it is our collective mission to enable life-changing mentoring relationships to ignite the power and potential of young people.  We seek to put children and youth on a path to lifelong success and change the trajectories of their lives in positive ways.  We are committed to the recruitment of volunteers dedicated to upholding the values and principles of the agency and to those we serve.

The Opportunity
Do you have skills, experience and interest in helping to govern and shape the direction of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Guelph? If so, you might be a great fit for our board of directors, which is currently seeking applications for three new directors. The board meets once a month and each director is expected to sit on at least one additional committee (fundraising, finance, strategic planning, etc.).

Qualifications
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Must be able to provide a clean police check
• Prior non-profit board experience is an asset
• Preference will be given to candidates who reside and/or work in BBBSG’s catchment area: Guelph, Eramosa, Ariss, Morriston, Rockwood, Puslinch
• Preference will be given to candidates with personal/professional experience that aligns with the current needs of the board: education, legal, finance/financial planning, EDI, youth development, risk management,
