HELP A BROTHER OUT!
Did you know that young boys in need of a mentor wait an average of two years before being matched? As an organization that relies greatly on the support of volunteers, we need your help! Throughout 50 days in September and October 2023, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Guelph is looking to recruit 50 new male volunteers to reduce waitlist times and respond to the needs of the community. Will you help us reach our goal?
Throughout the Fall months, you’ll hear us on the radio and in sponsored Spotify advertisements; you’ll see us at community events, in local businesses and on community boards; and you’ll scroll through (and hopefully stop to read!) our calls to action on social media. The need has never been greater, but this community is equally wonderful and we are looking forward to bringing you into our BBBS family to help us achieve our vision that all young people realize their full potential.
“Introducing me to such a young, wonderful kid opened my eyes to know that mentorship does a lot for young people. Becoming a Big Brother and building a relationship with my mentee helped me see a side of myself that I didn’t know existed.” – Richard, a Big Brother in the In-School Mentoring program.

**During our male recruitment efforts through September 22nd, BBBSG has also received new volunteer applications from 19 individuals of other genders, too!
